Welocalize is looking for a Freelance German Gaming Localization Linguist based in Germany to join our global network of language experts. You will be responsible for translating and adapting gaming content to resonate with German-speaking players.
What You'll Do
- Translate, localize, and culturally adapt gaming content from English to German.
- Ensure localized content maintains the original tone, style, and gameplay intent.
- Review and edit translated text for accuracy, consistency, and cultural appropriateness.
- Work with game terminology databases and glossaries to ensure consistency across projects.
What We're Looking For
- Native-level fluency in German and professional proficiency in English.
- Proven experience in game localization, translation, or related linguistic fields.
- Deep understanding of gaming culture in Germany and regional linguistic nuances.
- Ability to work independently as a freelancer and meet project deadlines.
Work Mode
This is a freelance, remote contractor position. You must be physically located in Germany to be eligible for this role.
