JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. is looking for a dedicated General Production team member. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing materials, operating machinery, and assembling windows and doors in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a core focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
What You'll Do
- Prepare vinyl lineals for production using a lamination process.
- Saw and machine vinyl and metal for assembly using CNC saws and mills.
- Assemble and glaze windows and patio doors through an assembly line process.
- Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Be process-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Assist co-workers in analyzing and correcting problems encountered in job assignments.
- Meet daily production rates while maintaining quality standards for all materials.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership to support operations.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with team assistance.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day on hard surfaces.
- Ability to perform frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing.
- Ability to read and interpret production paperwork and labels.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using metrology instruments and recording inspection data.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Must be comfortable working with both manual and powered tools including mallets, putty knives, self-retracting knives, diagonal cutters, glazing guns, drills, and saws.
- Must be available for overtime, sometimes on short notice, to meet production goals.
