About the Role
The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by maintaining the general ledger, performing reconciliations, and supporting audit readiness. This role plays a key part in improving accounting processes and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Assist in external audits and internal reviews
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly
- Collaborate with other finance team members on reporting needs
- Track and account for fixed assets and depreciation
- Review and process journal entries
- Help improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Ensure accurate revenue and expense recognition
- Maintain documentation for accounting procedures and transactions
- Support intercompany accounting activities
- Monitor balance sheet accounts for accuracy
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems
- Provide support during tax preparation periods
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial records
- Follow up on outstanding reconciliations and adjustments
- Ensure adherence to SOX controls where applicable
- Contribute to special projects as needed by the finance leadership
Nice to Have
- CPA or working toward CPA licensure
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite
- Experience in a technology or manufacturing industry
- Background in SOX compliance
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting structures
