About the Role

Gauntlet is looking for a Quant Research Engineer - New Grad to contribute to the modeling and optimization of decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols. You'll join a team focused on analyzing and improving the economic security of blockchain networks.

What You'll Do

  • Build and refine quantitative models to simulate DeFi protocol behavior
  • Design and implement agent-based simulations to analyze risk and performance
  • Develop tools to automate data analysis and model validation
  • Collaborate with research and engineering teams to translate models into production-grade systems

What We're Looking For

  • Recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and probability
  • Proficiency in a programming language like Python for data analysis and modeling
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
  • Interest in the mechanics of blockchain protocols and DeFi

Work Mode

This role is open to candidates in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or remote (global).
