eBay is looking for a Full Stack Platform Engineer to eliminate friction in the software development lifecycle. You will design and develop scalable microservices, backend systems, and frontend applications for eBay's internal developer platform. Your work will directly impact how thousands of engineers build, test, and release software.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop scalable microservices and backend systems
- Build frontend applications for internal developer platforms
- Architect distributed systems that operate reliably at scale
- Develop platform capabilities that power CI/CD, testing, and developer workflows
- Own the systems end-to-end, including designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality automated tests
What We're Looking For
- Strong programming fundamentals and system design skills
- Experience building microservices and distributed systems in production
- Experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot
- Experience building REST APIs and event-driven systems
- Frontend development experience
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native systems
- Strong ownership mindset, collaboration skills, and a passion for improving developer experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with Tekton and CI/CD systems
- Experience building testing or contract-testing frameworks
