What You'll Do
Take ownership of end-to-end mobile feature development, delivering robust applications for both iOS and Android platforms. Translate design mockups from tools like Figma into clean, maintainable code while ensuring pixel-perfect implementation. Focus on creating responsive, intuitive user interfaces that deliver a seamless experience across a range of devices and screen sizes.
Integrate mobile clients with backend services through RESTful APIs, managing authentication, data synchronization, and secure data flows. Optimize application performance, stability, and load times, proactively identifying and resolving crashes or bottlenecks. Implement platform-specific capabilities such as notifications, permissions, and deep linking to enhance user engagement.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define technical requirements and deliver features on schedule. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and design trade-offs. Support app deployment to the App Store and Google Play, following platform-specific guidelines and best practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production-level mobile applications for iOS and Android
- Strong ability to convert design assets into functional, scalable code
- Proficiency in managing application state, component architecture, and UI responsiveness
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs and external services
- Solid understanding of API integration, authentication flows, and data synchronization
- Proven track record of writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
- Commitment to clean code, version control, and debugging performance issues
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work full-time as an independent contractor
- Flexibility to align your schedule with US time zones as needed by the client
