As a Full-cycle Technical Recruiter, you will operate at the center of a fast-moving AI research environment in Palo Alto, CA. Your primary responsibility is to manage the complete technical hiring lifecycle, working directly alongside engineering leaders to identify and secure top-tier talent in highly specialized domains.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to define and refine hiring needs, even when requirements are fluid or loosely defined
- Develop a working understanding of distributed systems, machine learning research, and AI/ML fundamentals to accurately assess candidate fit
- Evaluate technical talent based on depth of expertise rather than keyword alignment, ensuring quality matches with team expectations
- Build trust rapidly with researchers and technical specialists who have high standards and nuanced expectations
- Navigate uncertainty in niche hiring areas without defaulting to high-volume outreach strategies
Requirements
- Must be available to work onsite in Palo Alto on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Demonstrated experience supporting engineering teams in technically ambiguous or evolving hiring contexts
- Ability to grasp core technical concepts in AI, ML, and distributed systems to engage meaningfully with candidates
- Proven skill in calibrating hiring quality when formal job descriptions are minimal or evolving
- Track record of earning credibility quickly within technical communities
- Comfort operating without clear precedent, especially in low-volume, high-complexity search scenarios
