Mindrift is looking for a Freelance Economics Expert - AI Trainer to craft complex, realistic tasks that test and train frontier AI agents. You will apply deep domain knowledge to create challenging scenarios that improve AI model performance.
What You'll Do
- Create complex, realistic tasks that push frontier AI agents to their limits.
- Build detailed task versions with objective scoring criteria.
- Write ambiguous task versions designed to train the agent to succeed with less hand-holding.
- Create training prompts and refine model responses.
- Complete a qualification step and project onboarding.
What We're Looking For
- A postgraduate or four-year bachelor’s degree (BS, MSc, MPhil, PhD) from reputable universities with a strong GPA (3.5-4).
- Professional industry experience in accounting with a minimum of 3 years in relevant economics fields (as an expert, analyst, researcher, or consultant).
- Ability to write clearly and professionally, explaining complex tasks in simple, structured language.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources into accurate, coherent outputs.
- Creativity in designing realistic and engaging examples, cases, or workflows based on domain knowledge.
- Excellent analytical thinking for reasoning about complex systems, scenarios, and logical implications.
- Strong attention to detail to spot contradictions, ambiguities, and vague requirements.
- Proven ability to use English fluently in professional settings, written and verbal (C1/C2 level).
- Access to a laptop, stable internet connection, and sufficient availability for project tasks.
- Motivation to work with challenging, complex guidelines, learn new methods, and strengthen domain-specific skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cross-functional, applied, or international projects, especially in real-world or consulting contexts.
- Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-generated content.
- Some understanding of scoring or evaluation in agent testing (precision, coverage, etc.).
