Swoon Editions is looking for an FP&A Analyst to act as the commercial co-pilot to the Finance Director, owning the models that drive critical decisions in our inventory-heavy business. This sole FP&A role offers a high-impact opportunity to own strategic modeling, cash management, and commercial guardrails.
What You'll Do
- Own the integrated P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow model, managing the rolling cash forecast.
- Lead the quarterly reforecast process and the 3-year strategic plan, stress-testing departmental assumptions.
- Support the FD in preparing monthly and quarterly board packs, translating variances into actionable narratives.
- Own SKU-level profitability, report on the 'Margin Stack', and coordinate margin improvement strategies.
- Implement trading guardrails, provide clarity on trading performance, and challenge assumptions.
- Work with merchandising to build buying proposals and present to FD for sign-off.
- Monitor the cost of failure with Ops and own the improvement roadmap.
- Build automated reporting and dashboarding skills in our BI tool (Sigma), owning the finance automation roadmap.
- Own variance analysis, breaking down variance to target based on volume, price, and mix.
- Present monthly P&L reviews with business stakeholders for each channel and drive improvement processes.
- Support the data manager with AI process improvements and roadmap.
- Provide end-to-end support for Dropship growth, from building P&Ls for new partners to reporting on profitability.
- Join weekly trading sessions, support financial decision-making, escalate risks, and help capitalize on opportunities.
- Act as a gatekeeper for ROI, reviewing business cases for new partners or Capex and providing Approve/Reject recommendations.

Team & Environment
You will be the sole FP&A role within a small team of 25, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This is a highly ambitious environment where you will have real impact and a clear path for fast development into an FP&A manager.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role, requiring travel to our London office one day per week, with the remainder remote.
