LKQ Corporation is hiring a Fluid Tech to play an essential role in our vehicle processing and yard operations. You will be responsible for preparing inventory for placement and ensuring the safe, efficient final disposition of vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Safely and efficiently remove all fluids, lubricants, and required components like converters from vehicles.
- Prepare and set out cars on the yard as assigned.
- Record vehicle set information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Complete all appropriate paperwork as required.
- Work closely with the lift operator to maximize processing efficiency.
- Securely store all containers of parts each night.
- Label and stretch wrap containers when full.
- Ensure containers and all appropriate tools are stored securely at the end of your shift.
- Clean up slip and trip hazards immediately to prevent injury.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to read and write at a high school level.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate basic messages orally and write brief messages or keep simple records.
- Follows standard procedures with no independent decision-making involved.
- Able to use guidance and guidelines provided by supervisor or manager.
- Assignments and priorities are provided by supervisor or manager.
Nice to Have
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior knowledge of automobiles or mechanics, supplemented by on-the-job training.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation starts at $17.00 per hour.
