WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is hiring a Senior Fluid Systems Engineer for our Vila-seca, Tarragona offices. In this role, you will report to the ANAV Supervisor Engineer, performing thermal-hydraulic and piping networks engineering design and developing equipment sizing requirements for nuclear plant design and modifications.
What You'll Do
- Perform thermal-hydraulic and piping networks engineering design.
- Develop pump, valve, tank, heat exchanger, HVAC, or other equipment sizing requirements for plant design or modifications.
- Identify technical issues and propose practical solutions for assigned projects and tasks.
- Support engineering staff in multiple design and analysis activities.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, including I&C, electrical, civil/structural, licensing, and layout, across diverse projects and design changes.
- Communicate progress, technical challenges, and results to the technical lead and project management.
- Collaborate with construction, I&C, electrical, and operations teams, representing the discipline both internally and externally.
- Participate in customer, vendor, and regulatory meetings, presenting technical material and explaining design decisions.
- Complete work within defined scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear).
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency with MathCad, MATLAB, VBA, FATHOM or ARROW.
- Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, ASHRAE, NFP or API standards.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Ability to travel to Westinghouse or customer sites (international travel included).
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering.
