The City of Myrtle Beach is looking for a Fitness Instructor to join our team dedicated to community health and recreation. In this role, you will promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of participants in our facility.
What You'll Do
- Conduct group fitness classes; demonstrate or explain how to perform various exercises and routines to minimize injuries and improve fitness levels.
- Provide information to individuals regarding facility policies, procedures, programs, fees and other issues; respond to questions/complaints and initiate problem resolution.
- Maintain knowledge of fitness equipment and exercises; maintain necessary certifications.
- Maintain knowledge of recreational fitness instruction and programming as well as an ability to maintain effective relationships with citizens of all groups.
- Maintain cleanliness of fitness equipment and exercise rooms.
- Communicate clear and concise information and instruction to patrons and co-workers.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to obtain CPR certification

This is an onsite position located in Myrtle Beach, SC.
