Babcock International is hiring a Financial Reporting Accountant to play a vital role within our Finance Business Services (FBS) function. You will apply your technical expertise to support our Marine, Mission Systems and Nuclear teams, shaping reporting and strengthening financial controls across our defence, aerospace and engineering operations. This is a six-month fixed-term contract providing exposure to a skilled finance team and diverse stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Deliver statutory accounts and oversee compliance reporting.
- Prepare and support information required for corporation tax returns.
- Support the implementation of statutory accounts software.
- Ensure timely responses to Internal and External Audit requests.
- Strengthen finance processes, policies and controls across the FBS team.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Accountant or QBE/AAT with relevant experience, or audit experience in Practice seeking an industry move (Part Qual considered).
- Strong technical finance skills, able to interpret accounting principles and prepare statutory accounts.
- Experience reviewing and improving finance processes.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Outlook.
