Support the accuracy and reliability of financial operations for a key federal agency by ensuring data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness across transportation, payment, and financial systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, resolving transaction discrepancies, and enabling transparent reporting processes.
What You'll Do
Manage and validate high-volume financial data flows, ensuring consistency between transportation, logistics, and accounting systems. Analyze system feeds to support payment operations and troubleshoot issues in transaction processing. Prepare and verify accrual reports required by the Defense Logistics Agency, and assist in audit preparation activities within a controlled environment.
Use specialized access to identify gaps in financial data flows and support reconciliation across platforms. Contribute to the integrity of electronic shipment records, including EDI 858 transactions, and assist in air clearance and transportation finance processes. Support billing functions and government accounting procedures, including those tied to working capital funds.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in financial operations within a federal or Department of Defense context
- Proven background in financial transaction analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
- Experience ensuring data integrity across financial and operational systems
- Familiarity with internal controls, compliance frameworks, and audit support procedures
- Hands-on experience with government accounting, billing, or working capital fund activities
- Ability to diagnose and resolve payment or data flow issues using system-specific tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
- U.S. citizenship required, with eligibility to pass a background investigation
- Willingness to comply with pre-employment and random drug testing policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with systems such as TPPS, WMS, DSS, VSM, GFM, LTS, Tracker Lite, or TGET
- Working knowledge of FACTS, EDI 858, and SOC 1 Type 2 reporting environments
- Familiarity with TAC to LOA translation processes
- Direct involvement in DLA accrual reporting or TWCF billing operations
