Baptist Health is looking for a Financial Clearance Analyst - PRN to join our team. In this role, you ensure patient accounts are financially cleared prior to service, performing key steps from scheduling to authorization.
What You'll Do
- Ensure accounts are financially cleared prior to service.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all phases of financial clearance, including scheduling, insurance verification, price estimation, and obtaining authorizations.
- Maintain a proficient understanding of third-party payer regulations for assigned service lines.
- Determine benefit and coverage levels and connect patients with financial assistance resources.
- Be proficient in all Patient Access processes performed by roles such as registrar, financial counselor, or scheduler.
- Participate in denial analysis and improvement related to clearance activities.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a healthcare business office setting.
Nice to Have
- Degree.
- Hospital revenue cycle experience.
- Previous cash collections experience.
- CPAR or CHAA certification.
Technical Stack
- MS Office.
- Relevant computer software.
- Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at the Baptist Health Resource Center.
