Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Financial Auditor and Investigator to ensure the integrity and compliance of financial operations. In this remote role, you will conduct in-depth audits and investigations of sales transactions and customer revenue streams, providing critical insights to protect organizational assets.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive audits of company sales transactions, customer revenue streams, and financial records.
- Review and evaluate financial controls for compliance with accounting standards and revenue recognition policies.
- Investigate customer sales practices, financial reporting, and potential license violations.
- Provide actionable reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective measures.
- Support the sales team by analyzing publicly available financial data to identify audit opportunities and assist in negotiations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, IT, and Engineering teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
- Maintain compliance with legal standards for audit evidence, documentation, and data retention.
- Contribute to the development of audit processes and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
What We're Looking For
- Strong expertise in financial auditing, revenue tracking, and financial data analysis.
- Proven experience in auditing sales transactions, revenue streams, or financial compliance.
- In-depth understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting frameworks, and revenue recognition policies.
- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills with the ability to uncover complex issues or concealed data.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial records.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including sales and technical experts.
- Strong communication skills to clearly present audit findings and negotiate with customers who may resist audit results.
- Interest in the investigative side of auditing, including working with incomplete or concealed financial data.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time as required.
