Ryder Transportation Solutions, LLC is hiring a Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support directly to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers. This remote position is central to our financial operations, encompassing month-end closing, operational initiatives, financial planning & analysis, training, and compliance.
What You'll Do
- Manage month-end closing, including preparing journal entries to re-class revenue and expenses, explaining variances versus forecast and plan, and conducting general ledger research to capture billing opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations, Director of Sales, and Director of Rental to identify and recommend opportunities for cost and productivity improvements.
- Perform financial planning & analysis, including forecasting, business planning, and branch performance analysis.
- Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on company policies, procedures, and financial tools.
- Conduct branch audits as needed to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Act as the Business Unit liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group.
- Follow up on initiatives with tracking, reporting, and further recommendations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Operations.
Team & Environment
You will provide support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers, and will work closely with Directors of Operations, Sales, and Rental.
