Vanderbilt University Medical Center is hiring a Financial Analyst to provide comprehensive financial support to the Division of Genetic Medicine & Clinical Pharmacology and the Division of Epidemiology. You will develop, analyze, and conduct financial analyses to assess the viability of financial plans and programs, ensuring the operational and fiscal health of these divisions.
What You'll Do
- Provide oversight of operational finances for two academic divisions.
- Perform monthly reconciliation and reporting for operational accounts, APS, teaching funds, residuals, gifts & endowments, and clinical trials.
- Conduct monthly review of financial needs for faculty appointments and reappointments.
- Prepare faculty salary plans, APS worksheets, faculty effort grids, and handle BFT entry and approvals.
- Manage financial funding reviews for all new and backfilled staff positions.
- Review and approve financial support for fellow appointments and reappointments.
- Handle daily approvals of operational expenses across several funding sources.
- Submit vendor subcontract requests and prepare miscellaneous payment requests.
- Review and approve supplier invoices daily; provide quarterly forecast assistance to the Division Administrator.
- Assist with annual budget preparation and quarterly endowment, gift, and residual spending reviews.
- Prepare proformas as required.
- Perform monthly cost center review and corrections.
- Manage quarterly funding of cost share agreements.
- Conduct daily expense reviews.
- Provide backup support to the Division Administrator.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree.
- At least 2 years of relevant financial work experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with the Workday platform.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Division Administrator and serve as a backup for that role, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure financial operations run smoothly.
