This role provides comprehensive financial analysis and business advisory services to key departments within the organization. The Financial Administrator develops detailed financial models, interactive dashboards, and performance reports that track progress against financial, operational, and resource benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain performance dashboards that monitor actual results compared to established financial and operational targets.
- Respond to complex reporting requests by applying analytical expertise and problem-solving techniques.
- Conduct monthly data quality reviews to verify accuracy, detect discrepancies, and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues.
- Generate financial justifications and proformas for faculty or staff recruitment, service expansions, and new program development.
- Deliver insightful analysis on financial performance, productivity metrics, and operational standards, offering actionable recommendations.
- Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial reporting with detailed variance analysis and data interpretation.
- Partner with operational leaders to assess cost-saving opportunities and strategies for revenue enhancement.
- Train end users on reporting tools and collaborate with IT to enhance dashboard functionality and reporting capabilities.
- Assist in shaping strategic cost and margin initiatives by translating business strategies into financial assumptions.
- Model financial impacts for strategic projects and track outcomes to guide decision-making.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is required, along with seven years of experience in financial analysis, healthcare finance, research finance, or business administration. A CPA is required unless substituted by a Master’s degree in a related field or an additional three years of relevant experience, totaling ten years. Expertise in healthcare financial analytics, planning, and economics is highly valued.
