Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Financial Administrator to provide analysis and business consulting services to support assigned departments. This role acts as a financial advisor, collaborating with operational leaders to identify opportunities for improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain Institutional performance dashboards reporting actual performance against financial, process, and resource management goals.
- Fulfill complex report requests from organizational leaders, requiring problem-solving and consulting skills.
- Build and summarize a variety of simple and complex financial reports.
- Act as a system analyst to develop new analyses, reports, and dashboards to fulfill changing reporting needs.
- Perform monthly quality assurance reviews on data to ensure accuracy, identify issues, and resolve data issues.
- Prepare financial modeling to justify and create proformas for faculty or staff recruitment and new service offerings.
- Train and educate end users on reporting tools and work with IT on dashboard development.
- Calculate and report productivity for customers, interpreting reports to provide recommendations.
- Produce monthly and annual complex ad-hoc requests and reports as requested by departments.
- Provide data, variance analysis, and consulting services for assigned areas for annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly financials.
- Support development of financial forecasts and collaborate with leaders to evaluate cost reduction or revenue maximization opportunities.
- Assist with new program and business development by providing financial assessments and support for Strategic Initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Finance.
- Seven (7) years of experience in financial analysis, healthcare finance, research finance or business administration.
- CPA required (will be tracked by the business).
Nice to Have
- In lieu of CPA, a Master's degree in a related field or an additional three (3) years of experience in research finance or health care financial analytics support roles, for a total of ten (10) years, may be considered.
