About the Role
The role involves maintaining precise financial records, preparing reports, and supporting audit readiness while working closely with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure data integrity
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support the completion of statutory financial filings
- Assist in internal and external audit processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable
- Collaborate with teams to collect financial data
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Assist in the year-end closing process
- Track and report on financial performance metrics
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows
- Respond to financial queries from internal stakeholders
- Ensure timely submission of VAT returns and other tax filings
- Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes
- Contribute to the development of financial policies
- Verify accuracy of journal entries and adjustments
- Support financial training for non-financial staff
- Participate in system upgrades and financial software implementations
- Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions
- Assist in cash flow monitoring and reporting
- Work with external auditors to provide required documentation
- Help maintain internal controls over financial reporting
