As Finance Accounting Manager, you will lead controller and cost recovery functions for a large-scale field operations contract at the Majnoon Oil Field. Your role ensures financial integrity, compliance with contractual and internal standards, and efficient cash flow through precise billing and governance processes.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full cost recovery lifecycle, including payments and collections, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee financial reporting and accounting operations, leading monthly and quarterly close activities
- Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews to strengthen financial controls and risk management
- Ensure adherence to external regulatory requirements and contract-specific financial obligations
- Monitor financial performance, deliver analysis, and support forecasting and planning cycles
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial strategies
- Supervise a team of approximately 30 professionals, supporting their growth and performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- At least 10 years of professional finance experience, preferably in oil & gas or energy sectors
- Proven leadership in financial governance, reporting, and compliance environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is preferred
- Experience in remote or upstream energy project settings is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage non-financial teams effectively
