About the Role

Farmers Insurance is hiring a Field Territory Manager to manage an assigned territory of independent agencies for our Bristol West Auto division. You will be the primary relationship between these agencies and the company, responsible for driving profitable premium growth and achieving financial goals. This is a remote position that requires weekly travel within your territory.

What You'll Do

  • Own and manage your assigned territory to drive profitable growth and achieve financial and operational targets.
  • Assist in developing and executing a tactical territory plan, including business planning, training, and compensation processes.
  • Build and cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships in person with agency owners, management, and frontline staff using a consultative sales approach.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by delivering product, underwriting philosophy, and system training to support retention and new business.
  • Create, maintain, and execute high-quality agency strategies and plans, holding agents accountable to achieve premium, profit, and new business goals.
  • Coordinate with field distribution partners to align with business strategies like carrier consolidation, agency expansion, and new product rollouts.
  • Drive quality of new business flow, manage appropriate business mix, and oversee risk management for individual agencies and the overall territory.
  • Provide clear target market guidance, identify profit concerns, and ensure territory-wide profitability.
  • Strategically utilize internal reporting, marketing programs, business development tools, and production data designed for the Independent Agent channel.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of insurance sales and management work experience.
  • Proven experience achieving profitable premium growth and sales success.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • CIC, CPCU designation, or relevant insurance licenses.
  • Non-standard auto insurance experience.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish.

You will be an individual contributor who receives moderate guidance and direction from management and field distribution partners.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid position based in New Mexico. The role is remote with required weekly field travel.
