About the Role

Evolv Technologies Inc. is looking for a Field Service Technician to ensure the seamless rollout of our security products to customers. Based in the Greater Boston area, you will perform installations, provide technical support, and build lasting client relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Perform product demonstrations, installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on field units.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and assess their needs.
  • Train customer employees and security staff on product use.
  • Perform scheduled software maintenance and upgrades.
  • Lead 2-4 special event support activities per year at strategic locations like sports stadiums and large venues.
  • Assist in the on-the-job training of new personnel and third-party service providers.
  • Complete required administrative tasks including expenses, work orders, and Return Merchandise Authorizations.
  • Document all work in detailed service reports.

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to undergo and apply technical training on products, tools, equipment, and software.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues using wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Skills in installing, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading technical equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of all assigned work orders.
  • Willingness to work a Tuesday-Friday, 10am-8pm schedule, with nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 75%–85% regional travel.
