Milacron, a Tencent company, is looking for a Field Service Technician to join the Aftermarket Service Team. Based in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area, you will be responsible for providing quality installation, maintenance, and repair of plastic injection and extrusion equipment, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair plastic injection and extrusion equipment using online and offline applications.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
- Interface with customers to evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
- Install computer software programs onto manufactured machines.
- Utilize administrative tools for travel booking, expenses, time tracking, and customer request management.
- Properly complete start-up sheets, calibration certificates, and preventative maintenance documentation.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 2+ years of service or maintenance experience working with mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical components.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time and work overtime as necessary.
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
- An active driver’s license that meets company fleet policy standards.
Nice to Have
- Experience working specifically with plastic injection or extrusion equipment, or similar machine tools.
