GE HealthCare is hiring a Field Service Engineer 1 to maintain critical medical equipment for the X-ray modality. You will provide essential service within a hospital or healthcare system in Salt Lake City, UT, working a 2nd shift schedule (Noon-9PM).
What You'll Do
- Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment.
- Maintain customer relationships and ensure timely communication and resolution to drive satisfaction.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to meet regulatory requirements.
- Ensure complete documentation of all work performed, including ordering parts.
What We're Looking For
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 4 or more years of experience servicing electronic equipment.
- Ability to work 2nd shift (Noon-9PM hours).
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Availability for after-hours work and a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
- Willingness to comply with GEHC’s standard background check and a post-offer drug test.
- Ability to comply with all customer access policies, including providing proof of immunizations and undergoing additional screenings.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

This is an onsite position located in Salt Lake City, UT.
