NRG is hiring a Field Service Technician

NRG is hiring a Field Service Technician to install and service smart home technology for Vivint Smart Home, an NRG-owned company. In this role, you will apply technical installation expertise while providing consultative sales to recommend equipment upgrades directly to customers.

What You'll Do

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems.
• Evaluate customer homes to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements on-site.
• Train homeowners on how to use their new system to protect their families.
• Conduct a safety analysis of every home to ensure a safe workplace.

What We're Looking For

• A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass post-offer background investigation and licensing requirements per applicable law.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders (up to 14 feet) and work in confined spaces like attics.
• Comfortable bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Nice to Have

• Experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales.
• Experience in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar.
