Laborie is hiring a Field Service Technician

About the Role

Laborie is seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver essential equipment installation, maintenance, and repair services for medical facilities. As a key member of our Service department, you will ensure reliable operation of our technologies while providing crucial feedback to our R&D and Operations Manufacturing teams to contribute directly to product improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Perform on-site equipment installations, maintenance checks, and repairs following standardized Laborie policies and procedures.
  • Analyze and isolate the root cause of issues, then troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical assemblies down to the component level.
  • Maintain accurate records of all issues and on-site visits using the ticketing system, ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • Stay knowledgeable about the entire product line, service offerings, and current industry products and technologies.
  • Maintain adherence to Laborie service levels to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Make all necessary travel arrangements to complete scheduled visits.

What We're Looking For

  • Technical College degree with a minimum of 2 years of field service experience.
  • Superior customer service skills and demonstrated ability to solve technical problems by effectively communicating with customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of PC operating systems, applications, and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and implementations.
  • Demonstrated skills in time management, planning, prioritization, and administration.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibility for extensive travel (may require 4 to 5 days per week).
  • Ability to maintain a productive remote office from home.

Nice to Have

  • Field service experience within a medical or similarly regulated environment.
  • Clinical expertise in a hospital, clinic, or medical device setting.

Work Mode

This role is based locally, requiring on-site visits to customer facilities. The position is open to candidates in Salt Lake City, UT and Denver, CO.
