Field Service Representative – North East Italy
This role focuses on ensuring certified products continue to meet required safety and quality standards through regular factory evaluations. You will carry out inspections—both remotely and in person—at authorized manufacturing sites, primarily within Lombardy and Veneto, to verify ongoing compliance with certification protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site and remote factory audits to assess compliance with applicable technical standards and certification conditions
- Select representative product samples and evaluate them against established specifications and test reports
- Review quality assurance processes, testing records, and production controls during inspections
- Prepare detailed inspection documentation, including Factory Inspection Reports and Initial Factory Evaluations
- Verify resolution of previously identified non-conformances by reviewing historical reports
- Assess deviations and, under supervision, recommend corrective actions and timelines
- Determine appropriate steps when non-compliance is found, including potential shipment holds or mark removal
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, respond to questions, and support record updates
- Stay informed about new certification services and relay relevant information to clients
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification such as Licensed Electrician with relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus two years of industry experience preferred
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, test results, and engineering documentation
- Experience using calibrated measuring tools, high-voltage test equipment, and hand tools
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments and standard testing procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to shifting schedules under supervision
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including short-notice trips (up to 75%)
- Ability to work independently from a home office
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in an additional European language
Work Environment
This position is based in North-East Italy, with flexible working hours and the option to work remotely. Travel within the region and beyond is a regular component of the role. You must be comfortable working autonomously while maintaining alignment with team procedures.
