BD is looking for a Field Service Engineer to provide essential technical support for our Pyxis automated dispensing systems within the Metro New York City and Southern CT territory. As a remote field-based professional, you will be responsible for delivering timely and effective service directly to our hospital and healthcare customers.
What You'll Do
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems located within hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
- Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize work orders; diagnose, service, and resolve issues regarding proprietary hardware and software system components.
- Keep ownership of the work order, raise issues to the team lead and manager; log, track, and detail all work order activity.
- Be capable of fully supporting all products within the region.
- Implement a preventive maintenance program.
- Provide limited multi-functional support for our Sales and Implementation teams, and other support activities as applicable to the role.
- Provide efficient field services to all BD customers in a timely manner, including but not limited to installations, in-servicing, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and sales support.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma.
- 3-5 years of Field Service related work experience and a combination Hardware/Software/IT experience supporting both proprietary and standard applications.
- 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment.
- Computer electronics, Windows OS, and network experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
- Weight lifting requirement: minimum 70 pounds.
- Driver's license for 3 consecutive years without lapses and driver point totaling less than 6 points.
Nice to Have
- Customer Support Certification.
- Prior experience working as a hospital pharmacy technician or in a hospital Bio-Med environment.

- Hourly rate: $23.80 - $36.80 USD
Work Mode
This is a remote field-based position requiring daily travel to customer locations within the assigned territory of Metro New York City and Southern CT.
