Cigna Healthcare is looking for a Field Service Engineer to fill a Naval Communications Support role split between our Southampton base and external platforms. You will support a range of critical functions for our defence clients, including product development, in-service support, and field operations.
What You'll Do
- Support product development and in-service support for naval communications systems.
- Handle integration, test, and acceptance responsibilities.
- Provide design support including key documentation.
- Provide field support at customer locations both in the UK and abroad.
- Provide remote support to deployed units.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with Naval Communications systems, including external and internal comms.
- Operator or maintainer experience in warships or submarines.
- Familiarity with system networking technology.
- Familiarity with RF bearing equipment.
- Familiarity with cryptography.
- Familiarity with message handling systems such as MPS2000.
- Experience with diagnostics and rectification of communications systems.
- Experience with technical documentation and report writing.
- Previous experience within a defence environment.
- An HNC or equivalent relevant experience.
- A full driving licence.
- Ability to complete required security clearance prior to starting.
