About the Role
The engineer will be responsible for executing field service activities, commissioning equipment, and providing technical expertise to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely at customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation and start-up of combustion and emissions control systems
- Conduct equipment testing and performance verification after installation
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues in industrial field environments
- Ensure all systems meet safety and regulatory standards during commissioning
- Collaborate with clients to explain system functionality and operational procedures
- Provide technical documentation and post-service reports
- Support preventive maintenance programs for long-term equipment reliability
- Diagnose and resolve field failures in a timely manner
- Work with engineering teams to relay field feedback for design improvements
- Assist in training customer personnel on proper system use and safety protocols
- Carry out pre-commissioning checks and safety validations
- Operate and monitor equipment under various process conditions
- Respond to emergency service calls when required
- Maintain accurate records of service activities and parts used
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations during field work
- Coordinate logistics for service deployments and equipment transport
- Use diagnostic tools to assess system performance and efficiency
- Follow project schedules to meet client deadlines
- Communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Adapt procedures based on site-specific conditions and constraints
- Support remote commissioning efforts when applicable
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments
- Maintain tools and test equipment in operational condition
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers when necessary
- Ensure adherence to quality management processes during field operations
