Bayer Global is looking for a Field Sales Representative to help solve some of agriculture's toughest challenges. In this role, you are responsible for growing the market share of crop protection and seed business within a designated geography in Southern Ohio by creating demand with retailers, dealers, and top growers.
What You'll Do
- Achieve assigned sales targets for Bayer seed and crop protection products in coordination with squad-mates.
- Develop and implement dealer business plans, proactively manage forecasting, inventory, and product demand.
- Serve as the key business consultant to retailers and dealers, effectively selling the value of Bayer Crop Science products.
- Demonstrate proof of product performance against competition by championing Bayer brands and deep product knowledge.
- Collaborate with squad-mates including other Field Sales Reps, Customer Business Advisors, Technical Agronomists, and Digital Enablement Leads to maximize services and sales.
- Actively manage inventory concerns to meet business objectives, anticipating demand and bottlenecks.
- Gather, assimilate, and analyze market and competitive information to drive key business decisions.
- Develop and recommend strategies for achieving long and short-term business plans for key accounts and your assigned area.
- Effectively manage expenses, discretionary dollars, and program payments to enable growth.
- Continuously expand your selling skills and product knowledge while mentoring peers and teammates.
- Ensure achievement of program execution and fulfillment, including national/regional marketing initiatives.
- Take a leadership role in partnering with squad-mates and managing relationships with top growers and retailers.
- Proactively mentor and coach earlier-in-career Field Sales Representatives.
- Manage area claims per Bayer Crop Science policy through effective problem solving and administration.
- Grow market share and create demand for seed growth and chemistry within your territory.

- Willingness to travel and live/work in a rural environment.
- Proven interest in supporting collaboration and teamwork.
- A valid driver's license and ability to drive for the company, potentially under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction, including safely hauling trailers, product, supplies, or equipment as required.
Nice to Have
- A bachelor's degree.
- A bachelor's degree plus 6+ years of experience in sales, marketing, account management, or agriculture, OR other education level plus 10+ years of listed experience.
- Demonstrated product, portfolio, and agronomic knowledge.
Team & Environment
You will work within a squad of Bayer commercial employees including Field Sales Reps, Customer Business Advisors, Technical Agronomists, Digital Enablement Leads, and Technology Development Representatives.

Work Mode
This is an onsite position based in Southern Ohio. The role requires approximately 60% travel with significant daily face-to-face customer interaction.
