GE HealthCare is hiring a Field Engineer 1 to maintain and service medical imaging equipment within a hospital or healthcare system in Houston, TX. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
What You'll Do
- Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment.
- Maintain customer relationships and ensure timely communication and resolution to drive satisfaction.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Ensure complete documentation of all work performed, including the ordering of parts.
What We're Looking For
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 4+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.
- OR equivalent military education and 4+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.
- OR a High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods.
- Must be able to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and have good hand and finger dexterity.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
- Willingness to comply with all customer access policies, including obtaining/providing proof of required immunizations and additional screenings.
Nice to Have
- Experience with multi-vendor equipment.
