Cencora is looking for a Field Case Manager to serve as the primary program contact for physicians, educating them on services and coordinating the patient care journey. This role at our innovative healthcare company involves regular travel to physician offices and collaboration with pharmaceutical teams to support healthier futures.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the single point of contact for the program with physicians.
- Educate physicians or their staff on the various services offered by the program.
- Provide treatment guidelines to manage physician expectations regarding reimbursement.
- Review patient charts to efficiently complete necessary forms for reimbursement.
- Assist physicians in completing Special Authorization forms, enrollment forms, prescription renewals, and other documents.
- Provide regular updates to physicians about their patients.
- Customize current program elements to meet the needs of assigned physicians.
- Identify risk areas and promote proactive and continuous quality improvement.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate the patient journey.
- Participate in scheduled physician meetings with pharmaceutical representatives.
- Attend Continuous Medical Education events and report new activities.
- Travel regularly to various physician offices.
- Report adverse events.
- Welcome each patient to the program and capture required patient information.
- Coordinate private and public coverage activity between patient, physician, and insurers.
- Confirm outcome of reimbursement navigation with the patient.
- Provide information and navigate patient through financial assistance.
- Assist patient with pharmacy selection and coordinate drug delivery.
- Assist patient with coordination of therapy and ongoing therapy status.
- Complete all relevant reports as per specified timelines and standards.
- Assist in training and development of new Field Case Managers as needed.
- Support and assist peers through regular and ongoing communication.
- Provide in-service presentations to physicians in collaboration with Pharmaceutical Representatives.
- May be required to be on standby/on call as part of this role.
What We're Looking For
- Licensed Nurse (RN or RPN/LPN) with active registration from the College of Nurses in the province of employment.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry or related experience.
- Valid Driver’s License, current auto insurance policy, and access to reliable transportation for regional travel.
- Available to travel within an assigned territory; some overnight travel may be required.
- Fluency in French and/or English may be required depending on program and geographic location.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in health care or a related discipline, or a nurse diploma.
- Case management experience.
- Minimum three (3) years nursing experience in a clinic setting.
- Experience in public or private third-party reimbursement, pharmaceutical representative, managed care, clinical support, or related field.
- Bilingualism (required for positions in Quebec).
- CFPC certification.
- Experience and background in various therapeutic areas.
- Background in business administration (pharmaceutical) sales and marketing.
- Knowledge of private and public reimbursement structure, systems, and process.
- Experience with reimbursement navigation, special authorization, appeals process, and conducting field-based reimbursement support and consultation.
