EMILY's List is hiring a Federal and Gubernatorial Regional Director

About the Role

The Regional Director will oversee political campaigns in designated regions, focusing on candidate recruitment, fundraising, and strategic planning to support progressive women candidates in federal and gubernatorial elections.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for candidate recruitment and support.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including candidates, donors, and community leaders.
  • Coordinate fundraising efforts to ensure financial sustainability of campaigns.
  • Provide guidance and support to candidates on campaign strategies and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze political trends and developments in assigned regions.
  • Collaborate with the national team to align regional efforts with overall organizational goals.
  • Identify and cultivate potential candidates for future elections.
  • Conduct outreach to diverse communities to build a strong and inclusive base of support.
  • Manage and mentor regional staff to ensure effective campaign operations.
  • Develop and execute grassroots organizing strategies to mobilize voters.
  • Liaise with media outlets to secure positive coverage for candidates and campaigns.
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant campaign finance laws and regulations.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on campaign progress.
  • Attend and participate in regional and national political events and conferences.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for candidates and campaign staff.
  • Develop and implement voter engagement strategies to increase turnout.
  • Coordinate with other advocacy groups and organizations to amplify campaign efforts.
  • Manage budget and financial resources for regional campaigns.
  • Conduct post-election analyses to assess campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with progressive women candidates.
  • Familiarity with political advocacy and grassroots organizing.
  • Experience in regional or national political campaigns.
  • Knowledge of political fundraising strategies and best practices.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with campaign finance software and tools.
  • Experience in conducting voter engagement and turnout strategies.
  • Knowledge of political trends and developments in the assigned regions.
  • Experience in coordinating with other advocacy groups and organizations.
  • Ability to analyze and report on campaign performance metrics.
