Capgemini is hiring a Director of Enterprise Architecture to provide strategic leadership for our enterprise-wide application strategy. You will define the vision, set standards, and lead a team of architects to translate business goals into robust, scalable, and secure architectural solutions that drive growth.
What You'll Do
- Develop and own the enterprise application architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning with business goals and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead the creation and governance of architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across all application domains.
- Drive application modernization initiatives, guiding the transition from legacy systems to modern, cloud-native, and service-oriented architectures.
- Champion a culture of innovation, evaluating emerging technologies and providing architectural direction for their adoption.
- Serve as the primary architectural authority, providing expert guidance to executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
- Lead and mentor a team of architects overseeing specific domains: Corporate & Enterprise Applications, Customer & Agent Experience, Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS), Application & Platform Security, and Direct & Embedded Systems.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with C-level executives, business unit leaders, and engineering teams.
- Partner with infrastructure, data, and security teams to ensure a holistic and cohesive enterprise architecture.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years in information technology, with at least 10 years in an application or solutions architecture role.
- Minimum of 5 years in a formal leadership capacity, managing, mentoring, and developing senior architects and technical staff.
- Demonstrable experience leading architecture for diverse application domains (e.g., corporate systems, customer-facing platforms, security).
- Proven track record of developing and implementing enterprise-wide application architecture strategies and roadmaps.
- Expert knowledge of modern application architecture principles (microservices, API-first design, event-driven architecture, cloud-native patterns).
- Strong experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with technologies across key domains: Customer Experience (CRM, Digital Marketing Hubs), CCaaS (Genesys, NICE, Five9), and Security (application security principles, authentication protocols, identity management).
- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Executive presence: confident and articulate communicator with ability to present to and influence senior executives.
- Strategic vision: ability to think long-term and create a compelling vision for the future application landscape.
- Collaborative leadership: proven ability to lead through influence, build consensus, and foster cross-functional partnerships.
- Business acumen: strong ability to understand business drivers and translate them into technical requirements and architectural solutions.
Nice to Have
- Professional architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF).
- Experience in a similar industry or a company of comparable scale and complexity.
- Experience managing departmental budgets and participating in financial planning.
