BRINC is hiring an FAA Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead the preparation and submission of FAA regulatory authorizations, waivers, and documentation for our Drone as a First Responder (DFR) program. You will serve as a key regulatory subject matter expert, guiding internal teams and public safety partners.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, submit, and manage FAA regulatory authorizations, waivers, and supporting documentation.
- Serve as a regulatory subject matter resource for internal teams and public safety partners.
- Proactively engage with public safety partners to understand their needs and maintain strong relationships.
- Track and manage submission pipelines, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Identify regulatory challenges and develop creative problem-solving strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving FAA regulations, policies, and authorization pathways.
- Work closely with BRINC’s Project Management & Customer Success teams.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Teams to ensure alignment with FAA regulatory frameworks.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent technical writing and regulatory documentation skills.
- Proactive and results-oriented work ethic.
- Ability to manage many projects simultaneously.
- Experience preparing FAA waiver applications or Certificates of Authorization (COAs) utilizing DroneZone, CAPS, etc.
- Knowledge of Google Earth mapping functionality or similar software.
- Knowledge of Google Office Automation suite.
- Ability to independently book and manage all aspects of travel.
- Live within 1.5 hours of a major airport.
Nice to Have
- Part 107 sUAS Certification.
- Technical proficiency in drone hardware and software.
- Direct experience with filing Public Safety Agency FAA Waivers & DFR programs.
