Allianz is hiring an Executive Regional Underwriter to play a central role in regional risk management and portfolio steering, ensuring constant portfolio quality and supporting sustainable growth. You will perform in-depth analysis based on credit and surety metrics, interact with local underwriters for portfolio monitoring, and manage a portfolio by analyzing surety parameters, financial data, and market trends.
What You'll Do
- Manage a profitable portfolio of business utilizing sound credit analysis techniques in relation with specifics of the surety facilities and surety standards.
- Provide strong guidance and support both to the local teams and regional team on portfolio steering and prospects studies.
- Perform consistent financial and credit analysis to determine the appropriate credit rating of companies within regional underwriting’s authority and scope, and make detailed recommendations to the Regional Underwriting Coordinator.
- Connect with all stakeholders to ensure proper and full ability to perform assigned responsibilities.
- Ensure timely monitoring and renewal of facilities within the assigned portfolio together with data consistency and compliance with Group and local rules and processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance.
- 7+ years’ experience in financial management, preferably in a Surety environment, or in banking or credit insurance.
- Excellent communication skills, team-spirit and customer-service mindset.
- Credit knowledge and experience with high-volume risk analysis and underwriting, strong skills in financial analysis; very good knowledge of Finance and Credit Management.
- Macro and micro economic knowledge.
- Strong adaptability in a fast-changing organization.
- Strong computer skills, with an understanding of financial software and spreadsheet packages.
- Possess a basic awareness of Artificial Intelligence technologies and are enthusiastic about learning and integrating AI into everyday business processes.

- MBA preferred.
Team & Environment
In this role, you will report directly to the Regional Head of Underwriting.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation from $115,000 commensurate with experience.
