About the Role

CBA is seeking an Executive Manager, Audit, Financial Risk to contribute to audit coverage across Treasury and Financial Risk. This includes traded and non-traded market risk, liquidity, funding, and capital. You will oversee a team of audit professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality assurance, continuous monitoring, and strategic insights.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver the Financial Risk audit portfolio, covering Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Funding and Group Treasury.
  • Develop and maintain a risk-based audit plan aligned to emerging risks, regulatory expectations and business strategy.
  • Coordinate end-to-end audit activities (planning, fieldwork, reporting and closure) to a high professional standard.
  • Produce clear, concise and insightful reporting for senior management and the Board Audit Committee.
  • Share subject matter expertise across GA&A and contribute to group-wide audits.
  • Support continuous monitoring activities, leveraging data analytics and AI to enhance audit coverage and efficiency.
  • Review governance, risk management and control frameworks, identifying themes and improvement opportunities.
  • Build effective working relationships with Line 1, Line 2 Risk, Treasury, external audit and relevant governance forums to support appropriate assurance coverage.
  • Oversee the development, coaching and retention of audit professionals.
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within GA&A audit practices.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience across Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Treasury, Financial Risk modelling or validation within Line 1, Line 2 or Internal Audit environments.
  • Understanding of relevant prudential standards (APS 116, APS 117, APS 110, APS 210, CPS 190).
  • Experience in valuation and financial instrument modelling, including IFRS 9, IFRS 13 and IFRS 7.
  • Experience delivering audits or reviews within highly regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical capability and the ability to develop risk-based insights.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, actuarial studies, engineering or other quantitative disciplines.
