Who The Client Is: A specialized firm in architectural building components, focusing on custom aluminium window and door solutions. They deliver comprehensive glazing systems across commercial, residential, and industrial project scales, emphasizing high-quality, tailored architectural designs. Role Overview: The Support Specialist will provide critical assistance to the Estimating and Management team, optimizing project evaluation processes for window and door installations. Responsibilities include inter-departmental communication, precise cost calculations, and comprehensive project documentation. Utilizing advanced software and design tools, the ideal candidate will analyze project parameters, support bidding processes, and contribute to database development. Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities are essential. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive support for Estimating and Management teams - Coordinate communications between customers, suppliers, and internal administrators - Develop detailed cost estimates for residential and commercial projects - Leverage V6 software for effective project specification analysis - Collaborate with estimating team in data collection and assessment - Maintain meticulous documentation and bid evaluation records - Engage in continuous performance reflection and feedback solicitation - Contribute to customized database development Requirements: Required Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years experience in estimating support roles - Advanced V6 Softech proficiency (training potential available) - CAD competency with system output modification capabilities - Exceptional technical detail orientation - Superior organizational and priority management skills - Excellent interpersonal communication abilities - Capacity for independent work within team framework - Adaptable and task-versatile approach - Window/door industry experience preferred - Additional beneficial skills in SketchUp, 3D modeling, template creation Work Arrangement & Expectations: Remote engagement as an independent contractor Candidate Expectations: - Full disclosure of existing professional commitments - LinkedIn profile reflection of contractor status
