CareHarmony is hiring an EPIC Release Manager to lead all build and software releases for Epic at MGB Health Plan. In this role, you will coordinate application support and environment management with IT teams and provide critical system expertise to Health Plan leadership.
What You'll Do
- Develop, socialize, and gain leadership approval for the Epic Upgrade calendar a year in advance.
- Plan and coordinate all Health Plan Epic Upgrades, Service Updates, and monthly build releases.
- Develop policies and procedures for moving Epic build to production.
- Educate Clinical Informatics and Configuration teams on build policies and procedures.
- Participate in MGB’s Build Integrity work group, Build Advisory Council, and Upgrade Performance Improvement Workgroup.
- Act as the subject matter expert for all Epic Release Management information for Health Plan leaders.
- Be responsible for Health Plan Epic build compliance auditing.
- Coordinate release management support requirements with MGB Digital and execute monitoring tasks.
- Foster data self-services initiatives and promote the use of self-service tools.
- Work collaboratively with other IT groups to ensure solid cross-functional decisions.
- Build collaborative relationships with all business partners and departments.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Represent clinical reporting at change control and ensure scheduled releases are tested and documented.
- Meet regularly with your direct manager to escalate issues and report status.
- Think beyond immediate requests to identify patterns needing holistic solutions.
- Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.
- Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion are integrated as a guiding principle.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of eight years of experience in information systems, including extensive experience supporting large, complex, mission-critical systems (healthcare industry preferred).
- Direct experience in providing application support services, including environment and release management.
- Experience with issue tracking, communication, and escalation processes and procedures.
- Ability to plan and manage projects, staff, resources, and timelines.
- Experience in clinical and/or health plan system management, health plan medical management functions, and clinical application support.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Epic Payer Platform, Compass Rose, and/or Tapestry and related third-party integrations.
- Certifications in Epic applications.
- Deep knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Technical leadership experience in Operational and Analytical Reporting.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work.
