Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is hiring EPIC Cogito Administrators to oversee the Cogito relational data workflows and Epic infrastructure within our Enterprise Data Warehouse. In this role, you will implement and support Epic Cogito and SQL Server databases, manage data warehouse accuracy, and collaborate with infrastructure teams, all within our patient-first, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot Cogito relational data workflows and Epic infrastructure within the Enterprise Data Warehouse environment.
- Implement and support Epic Cogito and SQL Server database in a large hospital system.
- Manage the Epic Cogito data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and conducting regular quality checks including claims, recruitment, and metadata.
- Design and implement SQL server database platforms and Clarity/Caboodle implementation.
- Collaborate with Storage, Networking, and Windows Infrastructure teams to implement best server-performance practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving complex issues, including database availability and disaster recovery.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including architectural diagrams, models, SOPs, and user guides.
- Lead system upgrades, patches, various projects, and testing.
- Monitor and troubleshoot daily Clarity and Caboodle, ETL processes, as well as SlicerDicer JumpStart.
- Support upgrades, server administration, and installations across Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, BI RESTful, SSAS cubes, SQL Syntax, and Interconnect-based Cogito servers and tools.
- Perform custom ETL design and development (SSIS) and develop Azure Cloud pipelines.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in Epic Cogito.
- 5 years of experience with Epic ETL workflows, Clarity data warehousing practices, databases, SQL syntax, Epic related Cubes, claims, recruitment, metadata; SSIS design & development; database availability and disaster recovery.
- 3 years of experience developing and maintaining Caboodle data models, SlicerDicer, and KB SQL; daily troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
- Experience implementing strategies to improve clarity and caboodle ETL load.
- Certification in EPIC Clarity & Caboodle Administration required.
- Must live in a state that Northwestern Medicine is registered for business.
- Background check and drug screen required.
