What You'll Do
Oversee the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of multiple SQL Server databases in a highly available, always-on environment. Ensure consistent performance through proactive tuning of both databases and applications.
Design and enforce reliable backup and recovery protocols to safeguard critical data assets. Implement robust security measures across database systems and manage ongoing SQL operations, including replication and failover strategies.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve complex issues efficiently and consistently meet project timelines.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field—equivalent experience is acceptable
- Demonstrate at least 5 years of hands-on experience managing mission-critical SQL Server databases
- Have 5+ years of TSQL programming expertise
- Possess 2+ years of experience configuring and maintaining database replication
- Have implemented and managed SQL Server Availability Groups for at least two years
- Show strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to communicate effectively across teams
- Proven track record of delivering results under deadline pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SSAS, SSRS, or SSIS
- Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Kafka, MSK, Snowflake, Aurora DB, or SNS
- Working knowledge of AWS and AWS CLI
- Experience managing databases in MS Azure environments
- Professional certifications such as MCSE, MCDBA, or OCP
- Proficiency in .NET technologies, PowerShell, C#, or Rubrik
- Experience using TFS or GitHub for source control and collaboration
