The Timken Company, a global leader in engineered bearings and industrial motion products, is seeking an Environmental & Safety Intern. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting documentation, training, and assessment initiatives aimed at reducing workplace risk and minimizing environmental impact.
What You'll Do
- Assist with EHS documentation, including SOPs, permits, and inspection logs, and help implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help deliver safety training materials and toolbox talks, and support incident investigations by collecting records and contributing to root-cause analysis.
- Conduct risk assessments for routine tasks and new processes, recommend control measures, and assist in updating job safety analyses (JSAs).
- Support ergonomic assessments and improvement efforts.
- Assist with job-based risk assessments.
What We're Looking For
- Must be currently enrolled or will be enrolled in an accredited college.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to act independently and manage projects from initiation to completion.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficient computer skills.
