Jobgether is seeking an experienced Environmental Program Manager to lead and manage complex environmental programs across the U.S., focusing on restoration, remediation, and compliance. This remote position blends strategic leadership with hands-on operational management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the execution of environmental contracts, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Supervise project teams including technical staff, technicians, and support personnel throughout all phases of project execution.
- Serve as primary client contact, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded and identifying any out-of-scope work.
- Support proposal development, contract negotiations, and technical approaches in response to client requests.
- Coordinate with corporate safety and quality management teams to maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee subcontractor activities, negotiate pricing, and ensure appropriate monitoring and performance of subcontracted work.
- Act as capture manager for major proposals and support marketing and business development initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license required.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in environmental consulting.
- At least 10 years in project management.
- At least 5 years in programmatic management.
- Demonstrated experience with federal clients such as USACE, USAF, USN, EPA, or other major agencies in environmental restoration or compliance.
- Strong knowledge of environmental remediation services, including groundwater treatment and emerging contaminants (e.g., PFAS).
- Proven leadership skills, managing cross-functional teams and serving as client liaison on complex projects.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% annually.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Able to obtain access to military bases and federal installations.

- PMP certification is a plus.
