Doosan Bobcat is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to support the development and maintenance of our company-wide EHS programs. In this role, you will help identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and ensure we meet all applicable regulations and standards as part of our winning, global team.
What You'll Do
- Support the development and implementation of EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
- Assist in developing and delivering training on topics like hazardous materials handling and emergency response.
- Collaborate with departments to evaluate EHS risks and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all EHS activities and incidents.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Monitor and track EHS performance metrics to identify trends and improvement areas.
- Stay current with EHS regulations and industry best practices.
- Assist in coordinating emergency response drills and exercises.
- Participate in EHS committees, meetings, and other relevant forums.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards.
- A strong understanding of EHS principles, risk assessment techniques, and hazard identification methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey EHS information to diverse audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to assess data and identify trends.
- The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using EHS management systems, databases, and software.
- Ability to travel less than 10% of the time.
Nice to Have
- Experience conducting EHS inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).
