Babcock International is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Australian Defence Force Ground Support Equipment (ADFGSE) contract. This full‑time position in Adelaide places you within our high‑performing Technical Services Team, supporting strategic asset management for the ADF’s GSE fleet. You will maintain technical integrity while changes are made to maintenance regimes, parts, and publications.
What You'll Do
- Support engineering and maintenance activities for Ground Support Equipment assets and repairable items.
- Ensure technical integrity as changes are made to maintenance regimes, parts, and publications.
- Contribute to sustaining the fleet by applying technical knowledge to investigations, assessments, and solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders across Defence and industry.
- Work closely with technical specialists and leaders to deliver innovative engineering outcomes.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Provide support through our Service Desk rotation.
- Develop skills across the engineering lifecycle and contribute to process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Australian Citizen with a current Defence Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Technical vocational qualification or certificate in a related discipline.
- Previous experience in relatable technical or engineering roles.
Nice to Have
- An understanding of applicable engineering and maintenance management toolsets, such as PLM or MRP systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, or simulation and analysis software.
- An understanding of Maintenance Requirements Determination and Logistics Support Analysis, preferably in a Defence environment.
