Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers and designers in the design and engineering of large diameter pipeline projects from conception to completion
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop and review design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Evaluate and improve the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems for conveyance projects
- Prepare engineering reports and technical studies such as Basis of Design report and technical memorandums to support project delivery
- Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff
- Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in pipeline design and engineering
- Assess trends in the marketplace, lead strategy, and assist proposal development with support from local and national staff to capture expanded suite of services AECOM can offer clients
- Travel to other offices as well as to project sites may be required
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior Project Manager/Technical Lead in Conveyance
- Proven ability to lead pipeline design projects
- Ability to work on water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects
- Experience providing support to projects throughout the Northeast US
- Ability to lead a team of engineers and designers
- Experience collaborating with project managers and clients
- Experience developing and reviewing design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Experience preparing engineering reports and technical studies
- Ability to conduct field inspections and assessments
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff
- Experience assisting with project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule management
- Willingness to travel to other offices and project sites

- Position is flexible between Boston MA, Chelmsford MA, Rocky Hill CT, or Providence RI office
- Hybrid work arrangement
- Expected to provide support to projects throughout the Northeast US
- Travel to other offices and project sites may
