Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and designers in the design and engineering of large diameter pipeline projects from conception to completion
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and review design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Evaluate and improve the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems for conveyance projects
  • Prepare engineering reports and technical studies such as Basis of Design report and technical memorandums to support project delivery
  • Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff
  • Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule
  • Stay current on industry trends and advancements in pipeline design and engineering
  • Assess trends in the marketplace, lead strategy, and assist proposal development with support from local and national staff to capture expanded suite of services AECOM can offer clients
  • Travel to other offices as well as to project sites may be required

Requirements

  • Experience as a Senior Project Manager/Technical Lead in Conveyance
  • Proven ability to lead pipeline design projects
  • Ability to work on water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater treatment and conveyance projects
  • Experience providing support to projects throughout the Northeast US
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers and designers
  • Experience collaborating with project managers and clients
  • Experience developing and reviewing design and construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Experience preparing engineering reports and technical studies
  • Ability to conduct field inspections and assessments
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff
  • Experience assisting with project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule management
  • Willingness to travel to other offices and project sites
