Lead and evolve a distributed software engineering team responsible for scalable, cloud-native SaaS solutions enhanced with AI capabilities. You will co-own product direction with Product Management, guiding both technical and operational excellence from development through deployment and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Own the growth and performance of an existing engineering team through hiring, mentorship, and fostering technical independence
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to identify meaningful customer problems and define what to build
- Drive engineering standards across CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, and release processes
- Design and maintain distributed, microservices-based systems in cloud environments
- Integrate AI agents into real-world business workflows to enhance product capabilities
- Stay actively involved in coding, reviewing pull requests, and setting technical examples
- Work across engineering leadership to raise the maturity of practices and culture organization-wide
- Ensure sustainable delivery by balancing feature development, technical debt, and platform improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and scaling software teams, with emphasis on mentorship and career growth
- Hands-on background in modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue and full-stack development with .NET
- Strong operational knowledge of cloud-native systems using Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure
- Experience with PostgreSQL and relational data modeling
- Ability to lead distributed teams across time zones with clear communication and structure
- Track record of improving engineering practices and fostering ownership cultures
- Comfort operating in a 'you build it, you run it' environment
- Strong judgment in balancing technical trade-offs and product priorities
- Interest or experience in applying AI within production systems
