Jobgether is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing software engineering team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for driving execution, ensuring delivery quality, and fostering a culture of ownership and innovation in our fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead daily engineering execution, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog management.
- Maintain Jira processes and workflow hygiene to support high-velocity development.
- Coordinate across departments to clarify requirements, resolve blockers, and ensure smooth delivery.
- Partner with senior leadership on roadmap priorities, capacity planning, and release coordination.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the engineering team, triaging issues and escalating when needed.
- Foster a culture of speed, accountability, and solution-oriented thinking.
- Define and track KPIs to reflect team performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Champion AI-first practices across the team to streamline workflows, documentation, and decision-making.
- Encourage high standards for engineering culture, velocity, and quality across the team.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in engineering management or technical leadership roles.
- Strong background in software engineering and technical fluency to communicate effectively with developers.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies, sprint operations, and Jira management.
- Proven ability to work independently and remotely, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ownership, problem-solving skills, and a pragmatic, outcome-focused mindset.
- Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Passion for AI tooling and automation to enhance team efficiency.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to bring clarity in ambiguous environments.
- Availability to work full-time in the EST timezone.
